Understanding Your Dash Cam's Reording Modes
When your dash cam is connected using a hardwire kit and your car is turned off, it will enter "Time-Lapse" mode. The videos it records during this time will be saved in the "Loop Recording" folder, not the "Parking Mode" folder.
What is Time-Lapse?
- This feature records video at a very low frame rate. When you play it back, the video will appear sped up.
Playback Speed:
- These time-lapse videos will play at 5x speed or faster, even if your video player is set to 1x speed. The playback speed will be the same whether you watch it on the app or on your computer.
If you would like to record and play back videos at a normal speed, we recommend using the original car charger that came with your dash cam. When connected with the car charger, the dash cam will enter "Parking Mode" when the car is turned off. In this mode, the camera will only start recording if it detects a collision, and those videos will play back at a normal speed.
