If some of your video are missing, please follow these steps:
Check Loop Recording:
- If this feature is turned on, your memory card might be full or damaged. Try formatting your card or replacing it with a new one.
Check Power:
- Make sure your dash cam is getting continuous power. A sudden power loss can cause the video file that was being recorded at that moment to be lost or corrupted.
Check the Emergency Folder
- Sometimes, missing files are saved in the emergency folder.
Recharge the Camera:
- Use the included car charger and plug it in for about an hour. Make sure you manually turn the dash cam off during this time.
Warning: Never remove the memory card while the dash cam is turned on, as this can cause file errors.
If You Only Lose the Last Video Before Powering Off
This problem is often caused by a damaged or dead built-in battery.
Test the battery:
- Go to the camera's settings menu and change the setting (like a function or a date/time setting if your camera doesn't have GPS). If the change doesn't save after you turn the camera off and on, the battery is likely the problem.
If the battery works:
- Use a USB cable to plug the camera into a power outlet (not the car charger) and let it charge for 1 to 1.5 hours while it is turned off. Then, restart it to see if it works correctly.
