If your video files are corrupted, please follow these steps to fix the issue:
Format your memory card:
- Try formatting the card or using a different, high-quality card that meets the requirements. If files are frequently corrupted, a new, better card may solve the problem.
Check the power supply:
- Make sure your dash cam is connected to a stable power source. Consider using a backup battery or a surge protector to prevent power interruptions.
Try a different player:
- Copy the video file to a computer or other device and try playing it there. This will help you find out if the problem is with the memory card or the video player itself. We recommend using a versatile video player like VLC Media Player or PotPlayer.
Avoid extreme temperatures:
- Don't expose your dash cam to extreme heat or cold, as this can affect its performance and corrupt video files.
Factory reset the dash cam:
- Back up any important files, then reset the camera to its factory settings. This can help rule out any software issues that might be causing the problem.
Check your firmware:
- Please provide your dash cam's current firmware version. Outdated software or firmware can sometimes cause compatibility issues or recording errors.
If the problem continues, please contact us.
