Here are the two ways to connect your dash cam to the Kingslim app via Wi-Fi:
Method 1: Connect to Wi-Fi First
- Stop Recording: Make sure the dash cam is not currently recording.
- Turn on Camera Wi-Fi: On your dash cam, tap the Wi-Fi icon. The camera will enter Wi-Fi mode and display its Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password. Keep this screen visible on the dash cam.
- Note: The Wi-Fi will disconnect if you exit this screen on the camera.
- Connect Your Phone: On your smartphone, go to your Wi-Fi settings. Find the dash cam's Wi-Fi network (it will start with "Kingslim_") and connect to it using the password 12345678.
- Note: Your phone may display a "No Internet Connection" warning. This is normal because the camera's Wi-Fi doesn't provide an internet connection. You can safely ignore this message.
- Open the Kingslim App: Open the app and either log in or tap "Skip" to continue without an account.
- Add Your Camera: Tap "Add Recorder" and select your camera model. The app will connect and take you to the live preview screen.
Method 2: Open the App First
- Open the Kingslim App: Open the Kingslim app and tap the + in the top right corner to add a camera.
- Note: You can tap "Skip" to use the app without creating an account.
- Connect to Wi-Fi: The app will prompt you to connect to the camera's Wi-Fi. Tap "OK" to go to your phone's Wi-Fi settings.
- Turn on Camera Wi-Fi: On your dash cam, stop any recording and tap the Wi-Fi icon. The camera's Wi-Fi information will appear on the screen. Keep this screen visible.
- Connect Your Phone: Find the camera's Wi-Fi network in your phone's list, tap on it, and enter the password 12345678.
- Return to the App: Go back to the Kingslim app. Tap on your camera model and wait a few seconds for the live preview screen to load.
